NACSA NEWS May/June 1995
When a 24-year-old man learned that his ex-girifriend had changed the name of his 18-month-old son, it drove him over this edge. Trevor Lane who lived at Buckingham Square, Central Milton Keynes found out via a letter he received from the CSA that Tracey Corbin from Leighton Buzzard had changed his son Joshua’s surname from Lane to Corbin. That night Mr Lane, a lorry driver, killed himself. His body was found in a fume-filled car at Willan Lake; the engine was running and a vacuum cleaner hosepipe was attached to the exhaust.
Recording a verdict that Mr Lane had killed himself the coroner said: “I think he decided he couldn’t take any more.”
